3D Models on Microsoft Ribbon

You can bring your work to life with 3D models! Windows and MacOS with an Office 365 subscription, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications support inserting 3D Models directly into your documents, workbooks, presentations and emails to not only illustrate a point but give it new dimensions as well.

You can unleash your imagination with high-quality content that is available in over 50 categories from the Stock 3D Model Library of which many offer animation effects. Animated 3D models display and bring objects to life in ways text and images cannot.

For example, in PowerPoint building a slide deck generally consists of adding slides with static content where your audience passively observes and is not engaged. By using 3D model content you can help foster conceptual understanding from your audience by offering both visual and spatial thinking!

Microsoft makes it easy to insert a 3D Model.  You can either import a 3D model file from the cloud or your local device or devices you are connected to or choose a 3D model from a variety of unique formats available in the Online 3D Models gallery located on the Insert Ribbon by selecting 3D Models in the Illustrations grouping.

When you insert a 3D model into your Office file you'll get a contextual tab on the ribbon entitled 3D Model that offers additional 3D Model Views and Pan & Zoom controls to help you customize how your 3D images are going to look.
