You want to be alerted as soon as possible when an Event is recorded in the Windows Event Log.
You do this via the Event Log viewer.
- Find the event you want to be alerted about.
- Set a name for the Task, and a description if desired.
- Confirm the Event.
- Select Send an e-mail
- Insert the information needed, such as From, To, Subject, Text, any attachments you’d like, and the SMTP Server that this will be relaying from.
- Confirm the settings, and click Finish.
