You have a nifty new SNMP monitoring application and you want to poll your Cisco PIX/ASA.
This is actually pretty easy to do via the CLI.
- Telnet or SSH into your PIX.
- Change to enable mode.
- Change to change terminal mode.
- Run the following commands.
enable> snmp-server community <community-name>
enable> snmp-server enable traps
enable> snmp-server host <ip-of-snmp-monitoring-computer>
> write memory
