You have a RingCentral extension and want calls to it to go to an Answering Service.
You have to setup the extension in the RingCentral admin interface.
- Go to Settings->Phone System
- Click on your Extension.
- Go to Call Handling & Forwarding.
- Click Add Phone.
- Ensure it’s Enabled (On) and allow many rings, e.g., 10.
- Click on Incoming Call Information.
- Set “Play Announcements..” to Never [OR NONE OF THIS WILL WORK!]
- Click Save.
- Click Save for the Extension changes.
