HP2035n Keeps Printing Until the Job is Manually Killed

There is apparently a bug in the Win 7 drivers for HP’s LaserJet 2035n causing it to constantly repeat print jobs until a user manually deletes the job.

You need to change the driver protocol in use.

  1. Open the properties for the affected printer.
  2. Highlight the port for the printer and click the “Configure Port…” button.
  3. Change the protocol from “Raw” to “LPR” and check the “LPR Byte Counting Enabled”.  You can set the “Queue Name” to whatever you want.
  4. Click OK on both windows and send a test job to printer to confirm it only prints one copy.
