Baton Rouge, LA – Puryear IT, an IT management firm based in Baton Rouge, LA and serving Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Lafayette customers, has selected Anchorworks to provide private cloud-based file sharing services to its customers under its myFile Cloud brand.
As Puryear IT’s managed service customer portfolio increases, particularly in the healthcare market, it saw a need to provide private cloud-based file sharing services. Public services such as Dropbox already exists, but are not compliant with most Federal regulations such as HIPAA, SOX, and GLBA. With myFile Cloud, powered by Anchorworks, there is now the option to place a cloud- or on-premise based file sharing solution that replaces email and FTP yet ensures customers are able to control access to the shared files.
Puryear IT selected Anchorworks because of its advanced capabilities, including the ability to either publicly or privately share files, the ability the audit who has shared and accessed shared files, and the ability to “recall” a shared file and have it deleted on the end-point computer.
The CEO of Puryear IT, Dustin Puryear, commented that “Many of our customers are looking at users of Dropbox and Google Drive and wondering if those solutions can be used at their sites, but they’re also worried about non-compliance with regulations such as HIPAA. myFile Cloud, powered by Anchorworks, solves that problem entirely.”
