Delve in your Office 365 platform is a powerful document collection tool engineered to discover and organize information as well as a social network that helps you discover the people best qualified to work on related projects.
Delve can be a valuable instrument to take you through the initiation, planning, development, and implementation phases of a business proposal. Let’s take a look at the scenario of how Delve can take you through each of these phases to accomplish a successful proposal:
In the initiation phase, you would draft your proposal in Microsoft Word and save it to your OneDrive account. This in turn makes this initial document draft available in your Delve account. In Delve, you would then bookmark the document as a favorite and create a proposal board to store it and any future documents related to the proposal. You would then utilize Delve’s intuitive search filters to look for colleagues who have experience in this type of project to collaborate with and send them a link to the document asking them to join the team.
In the planning and development phases, team members now have access to the original draft document in their Delve accounts as well as the capability to contribute their own resources to the proposal. As the team members work either individually or together on the initial proposal and add any new documents or files related to the proposal, in the background Delve is collecting these documents for easy viewing, editing, and inclusion to the proposal board.
In the implementation and final phase of the proposal lifecycle, you now have everything in one place to finalize the proposal. Delve has taken you from the initial draft document to its collaboration and editing modifications by team members to its ultimate completion and is now ready to be submitted for approval – all without leaving a central hub!
